Privacy Statement
Webtide Privacy Policy
Webtide respects your right to privacy and assures confidentiality of the information you provided through the use of this site.
The company uses aggregated tracking data when collecting information about users. This aims to better understand the requirements
and interests of people visiting the Webtide Web site; and to improve the usability of the site over time. Your individual
behavior cannot be distinguished in the aggregated data.
Personally Identifiable Information
When you access the Webtide Web site, your personally identifiable information is only collected with your knowledge and consent.
We may require that you provide accurate personably identifiable information to access certain materials, software or related
content; to participate in moderated forums or discussions, or to engage in commercial transactions with us. We never
sell or rent any personally identifiable information you provide us.
Policy on Personally Identifiable Information
Webtide may share your personally identifiable information with affiliated companies, but only when those companies require the
information to provide a service you have requested from Webtide, and employed the agencies for the purpose of providing that
service. For example, Webtide may employ companies to manage mailing lists, process credit card payments, or ship packages.
These parties are not authorized to use your personally identifiable information for any other purposes.
Webtide reserves the right to release personal information when it believes that release is necessary to comply with the
law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the company, its users, or others. Webtide complies with US federal
and California state laws and law enforcement agencies when asked.
Aggregated Tracking Information
Webtide analyzes visitors' use of the site by tracking information such as page views, traffic flow, search terms, and click-through.
Webtide uses this information to improve the site’s usability and relevance. Webtide may employ third parties to assist them
in analyzing aggregated information, but those parties are not able to identify you or any specific individual through study of the
aggregated data.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that may transfer to your computer through your Web browser when you visit Webtide's Web site.
Cookies enable Webtide's systems to recognize your computer, allowing Webtide to provide you with personalized information and
features. Webtide also uses cookies to track user traffic patterns. You can set your browser to alert you before accepting cookies,
or to block cookies. If you block cookies, you may not be able to use certain site features or functions.
Certificates
A certificate is a small data file that may transfer to your computer through your Web browser when you visit Webtide's Web site.
Certificates enable Webtide's systems to communicate with your computer through encrypted communications. In this way, information
you communicate to Webtide, or information Webtide communicates to you, is not accessible to a third party even if the third party is
able to monitor the data being exchanged. A certificate is most commonly used when you are providing sensitive information, such as a
credit card number or a login password. Webtide may use their own systems to issue a certificate, which may cause your browser to alert
you that it does not recognize the entity issuing the certificate. This does not in any way mean that the communication with
Webtide is less "secure" than with any other entity using a comparable encryption method.
Terms of Use
Many of the services and communications provided through Webtide's Web site gives you the ability to communicate openly with them and
other site visitors. Webtide asks you use these resources responsibly. See Webtide's
Terms of Use
for more information.
A Privacy Policy is not a Guarantee
Any time you provide your personal information to another party and authorize that party to store that information electronically, there
is some risk that the information you provided will be accessed by an unauthorized third party. This Privacy Policy states Webtide's
standards for maintaining and protecting your personal information, and the company will make every reasonable effort to live up to
those standards. However, this policy is not a guarantee of nondisclosure of data. If Webtide discovers that your information has been
disclosed to a party not authorized by you or Webtide, Webtide will obey all California state and United States federal laws regarding
notification of the disclosure and any remedies that may be available to you to prevent improper use of your information.
Effective Date and Changes
This privacy policy takes effect on January 1, 2006. Webtide has the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, add or remove any terms
or conditions of this Privacy Policy. Any changes on this policy will be posted at
www.webtide.com.
